12th Knowledge Management and Intellectual Capital Excellence Awards 2026

The Knowledge Management and Intellectual Capital Excellence Awards have been held annually since 2014 alongside the European Conference on Knowledge Management. This year we received 9 case histories for our consideration. After an initial evaluation of the abstracts and full review of the case histories which made it to the second round, we are pleased to present the four finalists in this anthology.

Each of these case histories demonstrate innovative and creative examples of knowledge management or intellectual capital implementation, covering a range of applications including collaborative international experiential learning interpreted through a knowledge management lens; competence management in industry; how knowledge management can act as a strategic lever for governing reception centers for unaccompanied refugee minors in Italy and supporting sustainable socio-economic development in Paraguay. Participants in the competition this year came from Italy, the United Kingdom, Algeria, Spain and Hong Kong.
