Teaching Tourism and Hospitality Excellence Awards 2026

Education in the Tourism and Hospitality fields has become an area of great innovation. This year, we have launched the first annual Teaching Tourism and Hospitality Excellence Awards, to recognize and celebrate outstanding educators in these fields.

We received 17 case histories for our consideration. After an initial evaluation of the abstracts and full review of the case histories which made it to the second round, we are pleased to present the 10 finalists in this anthology.

Each of these case histories demonstrate innovative and creative examples of teaching in tourism, hospitality, and related fields. They are showcasing how new teaching methodologies are being implemented inside and outside the classroom and how this can lead to both student success and community growth.
