This book is about developing an integrative model of doing EMDR psychotherapy in a multi-faceted way in order to get close to children’s reality and to help them and their families heal. It explains how emphasis has to be placed on several fundamental elements including attachment issues, family dynamics, developmental psychology, neurobiology and psycho-traumatology meet and are enlightening. Joanne Morris-Smith is a psychologist working in an NHS CAMH service and also in private practise in the UK. She specialises in post-traumatic stress and complex traumatisation. She is an EMDR Europe Accredited Child & Adolescent Trainer and chairs the EMDR Europe Child & Adolescent Committee.

Michel Silvestre is a psychologist working in private practice specialised in family therapy and EMDR in France. He teaches at the University of Psychology of Aix-en-Provence and he is the former president of the EMDR French Association. He is an EMDR Europe Accredited Child & Adolescent Trainer.
