These proceedings represent the work of contributors to the 12th European Conference on Innovation and Entrepreneurship (ECIE 2017), hosted this year by Novancia Business School in Paris, France on the 21-22 September 2017. The Conference Chair is Professor Christophe Loué and the Programme Chair is Professor Sonia Ben Slimane.
ECIE continues to develop and evolve. Now in its 12th year the key aim remains the opportunity for participants to share ideas in the areas of Innovation and Entrepreneurship and to meet with people who hold them. The scope of papers will ensure an interesting two days. The subjects covered illustrate the wide range of topics that fall into this important and growing area of research.
The conference this year will be opened with a keynote presentation by by Jerry Courvisanos on the topic of “Innovation, Sustainable Development and Regional Resilience: Approach to entrepreneurship policy when under crises”. The second day of the conference will begin with a keynote speech given by Thierry Rayna who will be addressing “How Technological Innovation Changes Entrepreneurship: The Case of 3D Printing Technologies”.
In addition to the main themes of the conference there are a number of specialist mini tracks on topics including Micro-entrepreneurship, Design Thinking, Entrepreneurial Education and Learning and Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
With an initial submission of 230 abstracts, after the double blind, peer review process there are 81 Academic research papers, 14 PhD research papers, 3 work-in-progress papers and 1 Non-academic paper published in these Conference Proceedings. These papers represent research from Australia, Belgium, Brazil, China, Colombia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France Germany, Ghana, Greece, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Iran, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, México, Monaco, Namibia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nigeria, Norway, Oman, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, South Africa, Spain, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, UK, USA
